Painting Description

There are many inspirations for paintings. Moods, events, light effects, or subjects are some of the starting points around which I might build a painting. In this instance, colour was the sparkplug that caused ignition. The subtle colours and tones remind me a little of the colours of an oriental rug. I do not question my starting points. I take them as they come.
