Snyder Farm
Painting Description
It is not often that I get an opportunity to repaint a commission piece. The first view of this farm was commissioned by the father in 1970. This scene was commissioned by his son. The approach was different because of my age and also because the farm no longest exists. It was most enjoyable to view the information in photo form and match that with my memories of the farm. The commissioner was very patient and that added to my very pleasant déjà vu. This farmstead used to be located very near where the Canadian Tire on Weber Street North in Waterloo stands today.
