Painting Description

I find the areas around harbours fascinating because so much occurs next to the water. Here the railway and bus depot occupy the first spaces just outside the fences of the dock in Helsinki. I painted this view from the top deck of our ship while on a tour of the Baltic. The white cathedral dominates the skyline.
