Late afternoon sun in February slices through the trees by Oak Creek. The air is still and the atmosphere quiet.

As we strolled by the creek in the late afternoon, the sun produced new patterns that were both dramatic and calming. In our two weeks in Arizona we had gone from an earlier snow storm to brilliant sunshine and perhaps that is why this afternoon was special.
