Seed Drill with Three Horse Team
Painting Description
Following the spring work-up of the land by harrow and disc, the seed drill moves carefully over the fields. The farmer stands on the running board behind the seed box. From that seed box the crop to be, drops through channels into evenly planted rows. In this instance three horses are used which suggests that much ground needs to be planted. For lesser acreage, only two horses would be used to pull the heavy seed drill.
