Painting Description

I think that this dwelling is typical of much of rural eastern Canada. The pick-up truck and the wood pile says much about the plain folks that live in this simple house which was, I suppose, originally a one-roomed log house. The colours of the scene make this an attractive subject for me. I don”t need a spectacular theme to compose a painting. I am often drawn to the small or simple bathed in light.
