These roses are just a few of the many hundreds of blooms that cover trellises near the restaurant in Victoria’s Buchart Gardens. How appropriate that the rose is showcased in this most British of Canadian cities. The floral display in this reclaimed quarry is dramatic and the scent is almost overwhelming on a warm day.
