Road to the Conestogo River
Painting Description
Light dapples the private road at Hawkesville near the Conestogo River as here and there bits of illumination make their way through the foliage.
This painting was prompted by a photo that I took in the 1980s of this road down to the Conestogo River at Hawkesville. Strangely it echoes in my memory a scene of dappled light that I saw in 2011 in a park in Venice. I guess that it is just a function of age as many images stored in my memory play a part in each painting that I create.
