Painting Description

For my entire life I have heard stories of the mighty Red River, so you can imagine my disappointment when I surveyed this view. I realize that in contrast to the rage that the swollen Red River exhibits, this restrained aspect is preferable. Only the church spire in the background indicates that anyone is there to care about its state.
