Painting Description

Milkweed blowing apart along a road in Mennonite Country provides an unual subject. I used a more impressionistic approach than usual to this whimsical motif.

I try to match my painting approach to the subject that I wish to tackle. In this case I wanted to re-create that lightweight and airy feeling of the wind blowing the milkweed across the country. There is a lack of detail as I wanted a slightly blurred effect.
