Painting Description

Within the boundaries of every Mennonite farm there exists another world. In this space there are few intrusions from the outside. In this world things are arranged in a personal manner often with many separate activities going on. For me the appeal of that private space of one hundred acres is most comforting. Perhaps this privacy is part of what keeps many Mennonites “down on the farm”.
