Private Bridge

Painting Description

We all have in our memory a private bridge. Some of these structures led to a cottage or extra acreage on a farm. Sometimes these crossings were symbolic. The bridge that I have painted leads to a hunt field, a place to practice horse jumping. Once I crossed this bridge, I was in a different world, a place where the everyday vanished, and I entered an almost make-believe space.
