Playing in the Yard
Painting Description
This is a study of light effects using a Mennonite farmstead, complete with little kids, as the subject.
I have long been a fan of the late British painter, Edward Seago. His paintings of East Anglia, England, deal so much with what I call come and go light. These are paintings in which part of the subject is in strong sunlight while other areas of the subject matter are in the shade.
*This original was part of a large group of paintings donated by the artist to Grand River Hospital in 2012. To see paintings donated: GRHDONATION.
