Painting Description

This composition displays the multiple activities that occur in the yard of a Mennonite family. I was amused by the miniature farm wagon in the foreground in contrast to the real thing only thirty feet away, awaiting its work at the start of threshing. Note the old-fashioned threshing machine that is still the standard on Mennonite farms.
