I find this log house among the most romantic of the buildings at the village and that is saying quite a bit. Doon Crossroads has an extensive programme that showcases many aspects of the facility. I particularly enjoy the lantern tours which sell out, but the event, Starry Night in December, is a great event that demonstrates Christmas in 1914. Advance tickets are needed for this event. All the buildings are open with interpreters. Horse-drawn wagons take you to the various buildings including the church where caroling is in progress. Food is also available. Another event is the Country Christmas, which is a daytime event.
