Painting Description

As we left the richly ornate Peterhof that rainy day, we all looked back for a final visual bit of the palace. My wife who is always taking photos of segments of buildings, remarked how attractive the tower looked against the cloudy sky. She was right and I had not noticed. Fortunately she took a number of shots of the tower which served as the basis for this sketch.
