Painting Description

True to my usual approach of inventing nothing but altering everything, this view of Lake of Bays creates a tranquil mood. As Muskoka gets increasingly crowded, it is difficult to find the peace and quiet that drew so many cottagers there years ago. Using a controlled palette, I was deliberate in my effort to project this vanishing stillness. Unfortunately, much of this area has become a Toronto suburb.
