Painting Description

The patterns of stones in this small stream attracted me. The April thaw was exposing bits of landscape that previously had been snow covered.

Looking over photos that are 10 years old, I discovered a section within a larger shot that I felt held possibilities. I used various pieces of information from that morning to piece together this work. That’s why my autobiography is called Picture Maker. I enjoy creating my own reality.
