Painting Description

Spring is a time for the return of colour. This bit of swamp with some fallen branches in a bush near Paradise Lake is full of visual possibilities.

The swampy setting is really not as important to me as the fallen branch. I like to use an observed detail like this in a more elaborate painting as a sub theme. This could work well in a sugaring scene.
