Painting Description
As you may know, I am a failed equestrian. I loved the hunter/jumper thing but starting too late in life I found myself, after one too many falls, in my doctor’s office. He explained to me what I already knew. “You do not bounce very well.” It was at that point that I realized that the wise thing to do was to admire horses not ride them. I delight in painting horses and those people talented enough to ride them well. This piece in Oxfordshire, definitely horsey country, combines my love of stone architecture and horses.
