On the Side, Ragged Falls
Painting Description
I am attracted to waterfalls, and although my wife agrees that cascading water is beautifully dramatic, she is not too keen about the way I climb around the slippery rocks that border these falls. Obviously painting like this can seldom be executed on site but must be composed from photos. I work only from pictures that I take myself, and hence my expeditions across the wet boulders to obtain the angle of view or the direction of light that I seek. Fingers crossed, I have only had one fall.
