City backyards in the older sections have many remnants from times gone by. The mix of buildings from many eras is visually stimulating.

The architectural eclecticism of older residential neighbourhoods draws me, partly because I spent my childhood in such areas but also even when I travel I am enticed by the hybrid vigour of neighbourhoods that show some character.
