Painting Description

This painting shows a young artist developing an approach to a subject. I determined as early as 1967-8 that I wished to specialize in local landscape, but the development of a personal painting style took a good ten years. The phases that I passed through each contributed something to my mature style. It is safe to say that my style is still changing, just more slowly.
