Painting Description

All through rural Ireland there are picturesque stone farmsteads that have been neglected for many years.

I am attracted to the semi-ruined set of farm buildidngs in this scene because of the textures and shapes. It is difficult to say just why one subject beckons me but I am not very philosophical about that or really anything to do with my painting approach. I know many artists who would rather talk about painting than actually put brush to canvas.
