Painting Description

Only occasionally do Amish/Mennonite children react to my presence in their world. Usually I am accepted as a fact of life and they raise no concern or even interest. I chose to paint this incident at the Kuepfer farm just north of Millbank because of the excitement that Lloyd’s son seemed to sense. I have painted numbers of things from that neighbourhood. Usually Amish/Mennonite children accept that their way of life is normal and not extraordinary.
