Painting Description

These farms near Trondheim appear almost as toys in comparison to the mountains. I was much taken by the fairy book quality of all the places that we visited in Norway in 2003. The scale of people and buildings to landscape seemed so disproportionate. You may notice that I painted this view 5 years after our visit. Using photos that I have taken, I try to synthesize various elements to make a whole that has, I hope, increased impact.
