Painting Description

Entering practically any Norwegian harbour, one sees many small boathouses lining the outer areas. It would appear that almost everyone in Norway has a boat. I was attracted to this line-up by the colour of the buildings. It seems to be that these cottage/boathouses, backed against the steepest face, have an almost storybook character. Boathouses designed by a child, is my sense.
