Noah Brubacher’s Back Lane

Painting Description

In the porch of my gallery I have painted a mural of an English garden. While I was busy at this task, an Old Order Mennonite came into the porch wanting to sell some produce. As we talked, I asked if he would allow me to do some paintings of his farm near Heidelberg. He readily agreed, and so armed with all my painting gear, I wandered around his farm looking for views that interested me. This view was appealing to me as it showed the structure of his often amended barn. I even included the brown cow that strolled over to my easel from time to time to check on my progress.
