Painting Description

Winchelsea is a small walled hill-town just four miles off the English Channel in East Sussex, England. For many years artists have found this village a pleasant place to live, and thus it has become sought after, and hence quite exclusive. In this tiny burg there is a sense of quiet friendliness that I have tried to express through the neighbouring garden gates. To me these small front gardens symbolize the sense of community that I find so attractive.
