Painting Description
I am drawing from my past when, in the early 1950’s, I was the little boy in the striped sweater who was a helper on the milk wagon. Coming as I do from a dairy family, this painting holds strong emotions for me. My brother, Don, served as my model for the milkman while his grandson, Spencer, modeled as the helper boy. Over by the horse are my niece, Julie, and her daughter, Vanessa. I took this personal approach even a step farther by showing our cat “Lou” in the front corner.
