Painting Description

On a leisurely walk just beside the highway north of Banff, we chanced upon this tranquil scene. The Rocky Mountain area is punctuated by small ponds when the water pools as it finds its way from the snow and glaciers on the mountains. The fallen logs on the left add a delicate fringe to this pond lively with wildlife. As with many of my works, the scene presented itself with no help from me. Rather Zen, I suppose.
