As the farmland north of Waterloo has turned from agriculture to development, the Mennonite farmers who occupied those lands have moved. The Milverton area, about twenty miles from Waterloo, is now their new home. Living side by side with the Old Order Amish, these recent Mennonite neighbours often meet at the mill in town which is a gathering point for local farmers.
