Painting Description

This Mennonite man has appeared in several paintings of mine. He owns a large woodlot near Crosshill that produces timber for a palette-making mill, and huge quantities of maple syrup. He is an unusual Mennonite who really hardly farms at all, in the traditional mixed farming sense.
