Painting Description

In my experience, this grand church is quite unusual for an Evangelical Lutheran Church. The interior is ornately guilded and yet still shows a Scandinavian style discipline. Situated on Senate Square, the Senate stands to its right, while flanked by the University of Helsinki on its left. This former Church of St. Nicholas was designed to tower over the city and it does.
