Low Tide, Cape St. Francis
Painting Description
While on an assignment, I had the good fortune to visit “The Rock.” Although this scene is certainly purely Canadian, being in Newfoundland, to my mind the overtones here of Ireland or the west coast of Scotland are very obvious in the rocks and land forms. A scene like this offers an artist an opportunity to play the tiny ramshackle sort of buildings against the large forms of the landscape.
