Lord Raglan

Painting Description

Typical of many country pubs in the U.K., this old building has been amended several times with unfortunate additions. Crouched so closely to the Kentish road, this popular establishment forces most of the parking to a field-side lot at its back, saving only a very few spaces by the road for its earliest customers. Amid all the chat and turmoil inside, a large black cat named Charles quietly makes his way from table to table charming the guests and hence food from their plates. He is so successful, not surprising that he is so corpulent.
