Painting Description

Corn harvesting is a large activity in the fall in Waterloo County’s Mennonite Country. In this painting I have emphasized the farm dogs that are constant companions for the men working in the fields. These dogs spend much time in the field chasing mice that emerge from under the corn stooks.
