Painting Description

Really more of a mansion than a castle, Leeds occupies a scenic position by a river. Where some castles like Bodiam are clearly fortifications, Leeds is beautifully decorated and finished. On one of our visits to the castle, we had the great fun of showing it to friends from Canada. Although we are not experts on Leeds or any other castle, we have visited many of these fortresses. “In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King.”
