Late Afternoon Sun
Painting Description
I was charmed by the late afternoon sun casting long shadows on this scene. The people were no doubt glad that another work-filled day was coming to an end. There is a Victorian poem that says in part, “That farmer there among the hills must have perpetual holiday”. What was the poet thinking.
