Inside the Castle
Painting Description
Light breaks through the interior of Bodiam Castle to highlight some of the stone interior walls that still need to be restored.
This view goes back to photos that I took in 1998. Living quite nearby this Fourteenth Century castle in East Sussex, we had a pleasant drive from our rented house in Frittenden, Kent. Although much work has been done on this moated castle, The National Trust has not completed the restoration. I thought it most attractive just as it was.
