Hotel Castel Freiberg
Painting Description
This watercoloured ink drawing shows the steep entrance into this former fortress near Merano, Italy. I was intrigued by the carved wooden crucifix with its small sheltering roof. Years ago I owned a farm near Maryhill, Ontario, and at the road there was a similar religious fixture.
