Once again an accidental “scene” presented itself as I walked around an old farm property near Guelph. My primary interest which was the set of tumbling down buildings soon placed second to my delight in these hollyhocks flooded by the sun. For me, just being aware to the visual possibilities is key to a good painting subject. I rely on serendipity.
