Painting Description

Over the years I have painted this sugaring set-up a number of times. Unlike the barns and houses of Mennonite country which are changed, added to or remodeled, the small shacks in the bush tend to remain unimproved. Only the advent of pipeline gathering has brought renovations to the sugar shanty. I”m pleased that this farmer has stayed with the old ways of sugar gathering.
