Painting Description

Laneways through Mennonite farms are quite common. These private pathways allow for shortcuts for horse-powered vehicles and provide a respite from the sometimes dangerously fast traffic. The aqueous soft treatment that I used on this painting is intended to convey a dreamlike quality that I feel when I view these tiny storybook laneways.
