Painting Description

This large banyon tree with its dripping roots presents a strong contrast in colour and form to the armada of yachts in Lake Worth behind it. As I painted this view I was struck by the number of people who parked their cars and strolled over to the yacht basins, where they proceeded to carefully evaluate each of the massively expensive crafts harboured there. I guess this is similar to people perusing Architectural Digest pouring over each photo in detail. I do that and find it quite enjoyable.
