Painting Description

Subtle shades of colour draw me to this quiet group of trees on a snowy fence row.

Looking at the paintings of Chicago area artist Richard Schmid made me more aware of the possibilities of a group of trees as a great subject. I spend a good deal of time on the net looking at the websites of artists who produce beautiful paintings which I would have missed. From each artist I learn something, even if it is “don’t do that”.
