Painting Description

This almost-end of the sugaring season is sited near the Three Bridges, northwest of St. Jacobs. This straightforward, simplified style is very typical of my work at that time. Late in the sugaring season when the melted snow turns the track into mud, the scene does lose some of its appeal. Of added interest is the inclusion of the fungi on the tree trunk in the front of this painting.
