Painting Description

This plein air view of the Alton area is treated in a broad designy way. Even after my style has “settled”, I still try on new approaches to painting. Perhaps someone who really knew my work would spot “Snyder” moves in this piece. I don’t know. Just as an attempt to alter handwriting leaves telltale characteristics so a change of painting style still leaves traces of early work.
