Goudhurst, Kent
Painting Description
The Rose, a rather plain looking pub, crouches at the bottom of a major hill that is bisected by a B’ road through the important Kentish town of Goudhurst. Across the road from this popular restaurant/pub is a village pond cupped by a red brick wall so common in this country. Although this town was miles away from our Tenterden home, we often passed through it on our way to other attractions and frequently stopped at The Rose.
