Painting Description

The descending stairs of water features behind the Peterhof are adorned with classically-styled, gold-plated statuary. As a tourist, it was interesting to see that restoration of the Peterhof started with the showy bits such as these statues while things like climate and humidity control critical to their inventory of paintings remain undone.
